I think midnight is an unfair time. It favours people in the USA.
7am GMT is a good compromise IMO.

Thanks

"Congratulations on the Purple team winning this round."
When was it decided evo would be played between teams, and that the round would end when one "wins"
Absolutely crazy

You could expand the duration of the mini round until 6-7 of January, that's when the Christmas holidays usually end! :)
I want my lands back! :(
Damn you CoS! :P
Lordspider wrote at December 14th 2007, 13:38:
That is outstanding news :)
I would like to see end dates for rounds when they reset and than there would be no arguments on when a round should end and it would help with strategies too.
Harbinger wrote at December 14th 2007, 14:53:
I completely agree with Pauliniho *genuine shock*.
What's with all this "team" bs? And why was it decided that the round should end (ridiculously) early because one "team" came ahead in the rankings? There are a large number of players that weren't directly involved in this so-called "Big Evo War..." ![]()
Rig0 wrote at December 14th 2007, 15:09:
It is way to early for a reset. 100 days only?? Now I have to spend 1000 ticks R&Ding! No Thanks.

As much as I would love to see this round carry on, look at what it says in the post.
If neon has new stuff to add to the game, he may have felt in nesissary to reset to give everyone an even keel.
Hopefully the new stuff might be worth a reset.
Although as has been said, not looking forward to 1000 ticks of R+D ![]()

For both improvements to be made to evolution and to keep the population happy...improvements should effectively be made at the start of the round. Else face the wrath of the angry evo mob for not complying with consistency and taking away/adding features that have a significant effect on their gameplay mid-round. If we're facing creature stat changes or anything else potentially as tactically upsetting as that, it's only right it should come with a reset. Say for example at the start of the round, people opted against choosing MP's due to the recent changes and rather went with the annoying irritant of the OP. Should it be right to then bring back the MP to the functionality it once had at this stage in the round?
From what I can tell, Neon couldn't give a crap about which sides win. Unless I'm massively mistaken, that isn't why there's to be a reset (unless data suggests a massive correlation between purple side dominance and a sudden surge of people leaving the game in droves) . What he does care about though to some extent at least is the functionality of this game. You all complain that it's broken and in need of additions and repair...let him fix it. Granted there's Devo for that, but I for one am willing to wait until after the reset to asses whether a reset was really needed to implement these changes. It might be the best round yet...
Ally posting the congratulations to the purple side however, was rather a Freudian Slip. 'Sides' exist for our political movements only and shouldn't be referred to in such a way by the hierarchy ![]()
Congratulations to Sorrow for leading the round at the current stage. If you can hold onto the spot until the new round starts, then you have won an impressive victory with the help of your Allies.
edit. All of you complaining about having to work your way through the research again, think about people like me who will have only just finished >.<

well not sure I'm in favour of a reset of not.
I dont see how this current game can go forward any, no one seems to want to break the deadlock we are currently in, so I suppose a reset puts it back to square one again for everyone, on the other hand, it does seem very early and I cant say Im looking forward to allocation and R&Ding again.... dooh![]()
New features.... yipee!! anything to brighten up our playing hours.
Anyway, can I say a well done to all participants this round, it has been fun at times, and depressing at others. I particularly liked catching the odd fleet sneaking in at my house and squashing them. Now let the end of round madness begin.
ps. Hey Rigo, my fleet is coming over to your house soon, I hope a welcome is awaiting.. (pps, no CoS hasnt declared war on NOD, this is just a personal bit of fun)..... though you never know, Im a women who changes her mind.... mwhahahahahahahaha

The round is dead.
If the round carried on then the purple side would just decimate the gold side so much that the purple side will have no targets left to attack.
We have dominated so much this round it makes me wonder weather this will happen again and again untill it gets so boring everyone will quit. I am a little angry though because we were promised that the next reset will be Ev6, it makes me wonder how many more resets we will have before the big Ev6 hits the screens. If your not 100% sure then don't promise us anything. We don't forget promises.

I'm rather pessimistic about the so called "new features". The way they are planning to introduce them is disrespectuful towards players and that's not a good sign.
There is devo, why not test those new features there? Why not discuss the new features with evo community?

I am in two minds if I will be back, my thoughts are also wondering how long before this new round gets reset!!!!!!! and if worth it.
Although I must confess to wondering just what these new features are going to be that may change the way the game is played hmmmm.![]()
