I just got this message from our hosting company:

Maintenance Type: Infrastructure
Expected effect on your service: Power Loss
Expected downtime duration: 4-8 hours
This will occur between 00:00 and 08:00 on 02/10/2010 (UK Time)

That means we'll be down for between 4 to 8 hours sometime between 01/10/2010 23:00 - 02/10/2010 07:00 UTC.

That's quite a large bit of downtime. Be aware!

Hi all,

As you have hopefully noticed by now most of your suggested fixes have been completed. It has been decided that this is now the end of work on Evolution 5 and that unless something goes very pear shaped there will be no further development on the game.

We'd like to thank you all for your support over the years.

Well, as we were clearing out old forums (planetary ones), it seems we have accidentally the whole forum. Everything is lost and there is no way to recover it. :(

Our bad and we're sorry for the loss of information for everyone. But on the up side, the forums are pretty fast now.

Due to a minor hitch when upgrading the server's OS, evo was down for a little over an hour.

The ticker will be restarted shortly, and the round will continue as normal.  Missed ticks will not be caught up.

If something is currently broken that was not broken before the downtime, please contact the admin continent so we can get it looked at.
