With the upcoming release of Firefox 1.5 and to ensure full compatibility with the Evolution Updates, we'll be needing to produce an update to the Evolution Toolbar in the next few weeks. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the toolbar - good/bad, what's good, what needs work, feature suggestions and more. Leave a comment below and it'll be considered for the next version.
Konfabulator Widget for Windows and Mac also available.
Evolution player The Mysterious X has released a beta version of a Mac OS X Dashboard Widget. You'll need Mac OS X Tiger 10.4. The widget allows you to quickly check your continent status on Evolution - find out your score and rank and whether you have new news and messages.

If you've written a widget or want to write a widget, system tray icon, whatever please let us know. Send a message to "Khlo" on Evolution 5 if you need any help or assistance with accessing data from the Evolution server. Also feel free to take a look through the source code of the widget or toolbar.
I just rewrote the send message page. You can now message someone by entering their ruler name, co-ordinates or select a buddy from a dropdown list. Hopefully this should make it faster and easier to send messages to people - ruler names should be easier to remember than co-ordinates and you have quick access to buddies.
Eventually, this page should become the sole page for sending messages replacing the alliance send message function.

The Evolution Konfabulator Widget allows you to stay up to date with your Evolution continent from the comfort of your desktop - Windows or Mac OS X. You'll need to download Konfabulator first, and then grab the widget.
As with the toolbar, it automatically updates itself automatically. Since this is a beta, there will probably be bugs or annoyances. Please report any bugs and thoughts in the forums or through the comments below.
Following the relocation of the Evolution user database into this software here at evolution.neondragon.net, new Evolution continent creation no longer worked. The continent registration process has now however been upgraded to work with the new system, so new players can now join without any problems!
The process is as follows:
Go to evolution.neondragon.net, click "Create an Account", enter your email address, recieve the email and enter in the confirmation code, enter your password, public name, any profile information you want to enter and agree to the terms of service, see the welcome page, here, choose your continent name, choose if you want to create a randomly placed continent/enter a planet key to go on an existing planet/set up a continent on a new planet, agree to the game rules, click the thank you for agreeing, and then finally you're in the game!
If you already have an account on a neondragon.net site, then you can simply click "Login and Play" on the front page, and enter your existing neondragon.net login details to go straight to the choose continent name step.
