The Buddy Rankings Page has been fixed and should now show the correct people on your list. Thanks to everyone in #evolution and who has contacted me via private message about this bug. The buddy ranking page will allow you to compare your score against friends, enemies and co-workers at a glance. You can compare your score against all your buddies or just a category.
Please let us know whether it works for you in the comments or forums. I would also be interested in hearing your thoughts on further work to the buddies system. Let us know how we can make it more useful for you.
The Evolution Sidebar allows you to check the status of your continent at just one click without leaving the page you are viewing.
Add the Evolution Sidebar in Opera
We recommend entering 'Evolution 5' in the Name box.
Please leave any thoughts and comments below or in the forums.
Mozilla Firefox
Users of Mozilla Firefox can already access the Evolution Sidebar using the built in button in the toolbar or following the instructions here.
I have just been informed that there will be some "network improvement work" at the facility where Evolution is running.
The details are:
Date: 16th September, 2005
Window: 00:00 - 04:00
Duration: < 30 minutes
The work will increase the redundancy avaliable in the network core, which hopefully means there's less chance of Evolution ever vanishing off the internet for a long time.
If you check your preferences page, you can select an instant messaging account like an MSN address or a Jabber address that you can recieve notifications of new private messages at. Yahoo/AOL(ICQ) addresses will also work in future.
You just need to select the IM type, put in your address and check the checkbox before pressing submit. You'll recieve a confirmation instant message to which you have to reply "YES" on one line, on it's own.
You can also leave your thoughts at the Evolution Forums.
I just released an update to Evolution Toolbar for the Mozilla Firefox 1.5 Beta.
The only change in this version is a max version bump - there are no bug fixes or new features for users of Firefox 1.0. I am not planning on rolling this update to Mozilla Update.
